Terms and Conditions - Wedding Ceremonies
The Celebrant agrees to:
1. As a Registered Authorised Celebrant I will provide services to solemnise your marriage according to The Marriage Act 1961.
2. To attend the Marriage Ceremony at the agreed time, date and place and I will arrive at 30 minutes prior to the ceremony commencement time.
3. In the event, although unlikely, the Celebrant is unable to attend the ceremony for any unforeseen reason, a suitable replacement will be contacted to perform the ceremony.
4. The Celebrant agrees to abide by the Code of Conduct set down for Marriage Celebrants by the Attorney General's
5. Maintain privacy and confidentiality regarding the couple's documentation in my possession for 6 years.
Department.
The Couple agrees to:
1. The Couple must ensure the Celebrant receives the 'Notice of Intended Marriage' at least one month prior to the wedding date.
2. All original documentation is sited by the Celebrant Eg. Birth Certificates/Passports, along with photo ID such as Driver's Licences, Divorce Certificates/Death Certificates if previously married at least 4 weeks prior to the wedding and absolutely no later than 24 hours prior to the Ceremony. Failure to do so means the wedding Ceremony cannot take place.
3. The Couple agree to arrive on time with the understanding that if either party is more than 30 minutes late, a fee of $100 per 30 minutes for commencement of the late ceremony will be charged.
4. The Couple agree to notify the Celebrant in writing or via email, any changes made to the Ceremony date, time or venue. Any changes to the Couple's personal details such as address or contact information must be advised ASAP. The Marriage Celebrant reserves the right to terminate the agreement and retain the booking fee if the Couple change the date and time and the Celebrant is unavailable at that time. (Exceptional circumstances may or may not be considered)
5. The Celebrant reserves the right not to perform the Ceremony if both, or either party is inebriated or under the influence of any other substance. If this occurs the Celebrant will not be lawfully authorised to solemnise the Marriage.
6. The Parties agree to comply with the above requests and terms set by the Celebrant.
